What's interesting is that it is the most powerful N car in Hyundai's portfolio. Based on the latest Elantra that was revealed last year, the Elantra N gets a plethora of cosmetic tweaks to improve its performance. These include a lip spoiler, N-specific red stripe on the front bumper, an N-specific rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser. There's also a bright red side sill that not only looks sporty but also channels airflow for sportier performance while the dual exhaust further adds to Elantra N's sporty appeal.
Powering the Hyundai Elantra N,free slots demo play is a 2.0-litre turbo flat power engine with a 52 mm turbine wheel for the turbocharger. The powerplant is coupled to an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and generates 276 bhp with 392 Nm of peak torque. It is the same gearbox that debuted on Kona N SUV and offers three functions -- N Power Shift (NPS), N Grin Shift (NGS), and N Track Sense Shift (NTS).
The NPS engages when the car accelerates with more than 90 per cent of throttle and mitigates any reduction in torque while upshifting. The NGS feature maximizes the engine performance and gearbox for 20 seconds wherein the car automatically shifts down to the most appropriate gear. This boost mode can be activated by pressing a dedicated button on the steering wheel. Finally, the NTS; it optimises the gearbox for racetrack driving and selects gears accordingly.
