A Swiggy delivery executive based out of Bengaluru was allegedly brutally thrashed by four customers for denying free food to them. This incident has caused an uproar in the city.

The incident took place late in the evening of May 28 in Rajajinagar, where 25-year-old Karthik Hariprasad, a Swiggy delivery executive, was allegedly thrashed by four men. Reportedly, the four men tried to cancel their order but their attempt failed, following which they insisted Karthik hand over the food to them free of charge. But, Karthik denied giving them free food. Instead, he said that he will give it to a needy person.

After which, the four men allegedly began hurling abuses at the delivery person and went on to physically assault him. Reportedly, they even broke his mobile phone and helmet and snatched away the money he had collected from his wallet, and knocked his head with stones. Karthik was left bleeding on the road while the four men ran away with Rs 1,800 in cash that Karthik had saved up for his sister’s wedding.

Karthik was fortunately spotted by few other food delivery executives. After which they called the police and he was then taken to a hospital where he got stitches. Apparently, the accused fled the spot after they saw others approaching them.

Karthik's story was put out on social media by one of his friends after which the incident transpired. Soon after, it was shared by many others. Waseem, who was the first one to post on the issue, garnered a lot of positive reactions on Instagram and has also helped in raising funds for Karthik to cover his expenses for the damages.

“The inspector (Magadi Road Station) has been in constant touch with me. I will be going back to Bengaluru on Wednesday and register a complaint officially. Swiggy has said they will share customer details with the police too,” Karthik told The andar bahar real cash Minute.

He added that the police has been very helpful. Also, Swiggy has decided to support his cause and asked him to encash his employer's health insurance. Moreover, they have offered him legal help to deal with the police. An FIR will be lodged by Swiggy after Karthik gives his verbal testimony.
