When it comes to legal online sports betting in the USA, things are changing fast. That’s because the US Supreme Court made a landmark decision to lift the federal ban on sports betting, paving the way for each state the authority to regulate its own sports gambling markets and laws.
Several states have since legalized sports betting, so Nevada is no longer the only game in town. Still, online sports betting is fully legal anywhere in the state. Registered land-based casinos and sportsbooks in the state offer both online bookmaker sites and sports betting apps.
A complete ban. About 19% of states (28 countries) completely or partly prohibit online gambling. These are Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China, Turkey, USA, Columbia, Indonesia. Plus some African states: South Africa, Mauritania, Somalia, Sudan. Prohibition may mean not only administrative (and criminal) prosecution.
