Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel on COVID vaccine; Explains State’s preparedness
After Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh is the 2nd most-affected state, which has come to notice. Bhagel has been ramping up vaccination in the state, and it has around 4.5 lakh vaccine stock with them. While 36 lakh people vaccinated so far. The reporter further questioned the CM about why there is a sudden shortage of vaccines. Is it because of the age criteria changing from the next week? To which CM replied, he never said that the vaccine is over, but they have a stock of 4.5Lakh of vaccination dose, but this would only last for a day or 2, but then how will the vaccines continue. He adds that now people are coming for 2nd dose according to the guidelines, and the criteria are increasing to which more people will come to get vaccinated. This demand can only be fulfilled when there is an equal amount of supply for it.
